BIPV Case Study | Science for Innovation, Creating the Future Together - World Top Scientists Forum Project
The permanent site of the World Top Scientists Forum is the permanent venue for the annual World Top Scientists Forum. The fifth World Top Scientists Forum was held here from November 6 to 7 last year.
The venue of the World Top Scientists Forum is in the shape of a "flying egret", with a total construction area of 228,000 square meters, consisting of the main building conference center and two east and west towers. It is reported that the entire hotel conference hall of the project is designed and installed with BIPV power generation glass, which is currently the largest ultra-low energy consumption public building in the country.
Niu Gaiyu, general manager of the marketing center of Mingyang Group's BIPV division, said: "The solar cells used here can provide nearly 2 million kWh of electricity to the entire building annually, saving 1,000 tons of carbon dioxide emissions a year. Our company is involved in the most technically difficult part of this project. The entire dome of the exhibition center is made of Mingyang photovoltaic power generation glass. The entire skylight is in the shape of a leaf, and its appearance must be perfectly integrated with the building."
Moreover, compared with the Beijing Winter Olympics Speed Skating Hall, which was previously built, this project is more difficult. Since the building is designed as an ultra-low energy consumption building, the photovoltaic glass used must not only generate electricity, but also be sufficiently energy-efficient.
The project used Mingyang photovoltaic glass with double hollow and double laminated structure for the first time, integrating LOW-E and argon technology to reduce the thermal conductivity coefficient to a minimum.
During the construction of the project, the impact of the epidemic was overcome. The company's construction personnel worked overtime and adopted a 24-hour continuous working mode. In the end, the project was completed on time with guaranteed quality and quantity, demonstrating Mingyang Group's responsibility.
