BIPV case sharing | Mingyang photovoltaic glass integrates into the urban landscape to create a "beautiful photovoltaic tree"

“Integrating low carbon into the urban landscape and improving the ecological environment will further enhance the quality of green space, create low-carbon and efficient urban green space, and create an ecological environment where people and nature coexist in harmony.”

At the entrance of Qianxi Park on Nanyuan East Road in Zhangjiagang City, a peculiarly shaped, colorful and gorgeous building catches the eye. This is the photovoltaic city landscape made of Mingyang photovoltaic glass - the "Photovoltaic Tree".

The design of the "Photovoltaic Tree" structure is inspired by the blue and green flashing of butterfly wings. Mingyang Ruike uses advanced MorphoColour technology, which allows a large amount of natural light to penetrate the photovoltaic glass, and the remaining light is reflected to form a gorgeous color effect. The landscape structure is customized with 90 hexagonal red, yellow, blue and green pieces with a side length of 60 cm to form a colorful honeycomb-shaped artistic landscape structure.

A single honeycomb power-generating glass can generate 100 kWh of electricity per year, saving 99.7 tons of carbon dioxide emissions.

This time, colored photoelectric glass is integrated into the landscape structure, which not only meets the functions of traditional canopies, but also has the advantages of being beautiful, practical, safe, reliable, economical, efficient, energy-saving and environmentally friendly, integrating people's psychological and physiological needs, and providing people with a new outdoor space for sheltering from wind and rain, shade and coolness. In addition, it can also provide charging for mobile devices such as computers and mobile phones, free WIFI, etc., and even provide seat heating function for tourists in cold winter.

After absorbing solar energy during the day, the photovoltaic panels convert light energy into electrical energy, which is directly fed into the power grid and then fed back in the evening for the building landscape lighting, basic lighting for park street lamps, USB charging, etc. The average daily power generation of this building landscape is about 40 degrees, which effectively promotes the application of photovoltaic glass in garden landscape, achieves energy saving and consumption reduction, and green environmental protection, and becomes the next popular check-in point in Zhangjiagang City.

Mingyang's colorful series of photovoltaic glass can be used in a variety of scenarios such as smart cities, urban landscapes, rural revitalization, low-carbon transportation, and integrated photovoltaic storage. It breaks the defects of traditional photovoltaic glass with a single color and poor integration with landscape installations, and creates photovoltaic buildings and urban landscapes with higher aesthetics.

The "Photovoltaic Tree" project in Qianxi Park is a bold attempt to implement General Secretary Xi Jinping's concept of "Green water and green mountains are gold and silver mountains" with practical actions. It uses continuous technological innovation to solve the key problems of building electricity and energy demand with near-zero energy consumption. It promotes the development of green buildings into the fast lane through the use of new technologies and new materials, and combines it with aesthetics and practicality to provide strong guarantees for promoting green development and sustainable development in cities.
