The first offshore green electricity! Mingyang helps Hainan's first offshore wind power project to be successfully connected to the grid

On December 27, the Huaneng Lingao CZ1 offshore wind power project located in the northwest waters of Lingao County generated the first batch of offshore green electricity in Hainan Province, marking the official grid connection of Hainan Province's first offshore wind power project.

The CZ1 offshore wind farm project has a planned installed capacity of 600,000 kilowatts. It is one of the first offshore wind power projects that Hainan Province will focus on developing and constructing during the 14th Five-Year Plan period. It is designed to install 60 MySE10-242 offshore wind turbines independently developed by Mingyang Group. This model adopts a modular structure design, has the advantages of high power generation and high reliability, and integrates many advanced technologies and innovative concepts. It has excellent typhoon resistance, sealing performance, heat dissipation performance, and salt spray corrosion resistance.

After the CZ1 offshore wind power project is completed and put into operation, it will be able to provide about 1.85 billion kWh of clean electricity each year, save about 560,000 tons of standard coal each year, and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by about 1.568 million tons, which is equivalent to planting about 4,500 hectares of trees. The power generation can meet the annual production and living electricity needs of 400,000 people in Hainan Province.
